How to start the secured database?
During installation, “Seven” creates appropriate shortcuts (Medical Database "Seven") in Windows Desktop and All Programs group in order to open the secured application front-end (CodeMD.mde) with the appropriate Workgroup Information File (seven.mdw).
You can recreate those shortcuts in Windows Desktop following the steps below:

Open the Application Folder (usually C:\MDbaseSeven) |

Open the Folder Start application |
| 3. |
Right Click on "Start Seven Frond End" Icon |
| 6. |
The shortcut is recreated in Desktop. |
The database can also be opened manually.

Start Medical Database Seven. |
| 2. |
On the Tools menu, point to Security, and then click Workgroup Administrator. |

In the Workgroup Administrator dialog box, click Join. |
| 4. |
Type the path and name of the workgroup information file defining the Microsoft Access workgroup you wish to join (usually C:\MDbaseSeven\Seven.mdw), and then click OK, or click Browse and then use the Select Workgroup Information File dialog box to locate the workgroup information file. The next time you run Microsoft Access, it uses the user and group accounts and passwords stored in the workgroup information file for the workgroup you joined. |
How to change Default User permissions in Workgroup Information File:

Start Medical Database Seven. |
| 2. |
Logon as Administrator (default director). |

The control Panel opens. Click on Change Permissions (or later inside the application open the Tools menu, point to Security, and then click User and Group Permissions . |

On the Users page, select a User Name ... |

You can manually change database and object permissions for user and group accounts in a workgroup. Permissions are granted to groups and users to regulate how they are allowed to work with each table, query, form, report, and macro in a database.
