Editions of Medical Database Seven and typical configuration for network installation

Editions

Medical Database Seven is a multiuser application.

There are two versions of Medical Database Seven the Server Edition and the Network Edition. The server edition is the main application for one user. The network edition is intended for those that want το install the application in more than one station. You are required to purchase both editions for network use

The Medical Database "Seven" Server Edition employs two database files, CodeMD.mde and DataMD.mdb. The CodeMD.mde is the application database (frontend) and the DataMD.mdb is the Data database (backend). In other words CodeMD.mde contains all code (forms, queries, reports, etc) of the application and DataMD.mdb contains the tables with data. This edition must used if you want a single use in one computer.

The Medical Database "Seven" Network Edition employs one  file, the CodeMDclient.mde ( application database) in order to install separate copies in network stations (clients). This edition is unable to function without a central installation of Server edition.

You must not use the Server edition for separate installations in your network because you are in danger to lose data and images.
